Wiggle Sponsorship

Applications to join Team Wiggle for the 2009 season closed on 31st October 2008. Unfortunately we will not be accepting any more applications.

Winning a place in Team Wiggle is not all about how many times you have reached the top of the podium. We look for stand-out athletes that have shown determination and improvement over the last couple of seasons as well as having a natural flair to share your experiences.  All members of Team Wiggle   become contributors of the Wiggle Blog – the Bloggle – with their weekly training and race experiences. This will include details of your training, race-preparation and race reviews -  hopefully including great stories, photos and any hints and tips you pick up along the way. It’s the same as we have featured from our pro triathletes and riders in the Athlete Diaries section of the Bloggle.

In 2008 Wiggle & Focus sponsored athletes reached great heights including numerous victories on their Focus Bikes including:

  • MTB Rider Matt Page won the 24 hour solo endurance race Sleepless in the Saddle as well as Bontrager Twentyfour12 12-hour solo race
  • Elite Triathlete Stuart Hayes won the Chicago Triathlon, the Malibu Triathlon, came 2nd at the New York Tri and 3rd in the London race and narrowly missed out on a spot in the GB Olympic Team
  • Elite Triathlete Andrea Whitcombe won the World Cup race in Hungary, won the Windsor Triathlon, and came 2nd at the National Champs, also painfully missing out on an Olympic spot
  • In 2008 Emma-Kate Lidbury won victories at the European Age Group Championships in Lisbon and Silver at the World Age Group champs in Vancouver.
Full details of how to apply for Team Wiggle 2010 will be announced towards the end of 2009. Keep training hard and have a great season!
